The dying days for these guys is here for sure… Great run though, dude was something else and his band was iconic.
When your day comes, how many of us can honestly say that we had made such a mark?
Rest in Peace Les. Your kicks will be practiced by generations and who knows how many people will follow in your footsteps (Stained Class (1978) and Killing Machine (1978) are the only two albums I care to hear anymore)
I think this often. I’ve been lucky enough that I haven’t experienced much death in the family my entire life. Sure I’ve been to some great grandmother’s funerals when I was a kid and I’ve had friends family pass, but nothing that was shocking. Last year I finally lost both my grandfather’s within a year and seeing the small amount of people who showed up made me sad. The only lasting mark they made will die with the family and that’s it. I’m sure most of us are destined for this and some even less than that. I don’t want to make a mark, but I do wish to fill a room with people who remembered me.
