I would suggest doing a little more filler prep on your canvas. It will help smooth everything out and make it easier to paint and you’ll get more consistency.
Keep at it! You’ve got pretty good proportions and I like the color composition.
What kind of canvas prep are we talking about?
Priming it. Then filling the weave texture to make a more uniform surface. Search for a product named Gesso.
