I am going to start commuting on bike about 7km out of my total 20km each way in the coming weeks. My current bike rack is a SportRack platform for 4 bikes. It is heavy, very long, and doesn’t fold up. The place I will be parking is quite narrow, and I can’t have a 5 foot platform sticking out waiting for someone to drive into it, so I’ve been researching new options. I need a rack for one bike for daily commuting, would be nice to have an addon for 2 more.

I randomly came across this company: https://www.ryfa.com/en-ca/collections/hitch-bike-racks/products/ryfa-2-rapid-rack

I can’t find much on them, the three reviews on the site are positive but I don’t know if I trust them. The racks are out of stock on their shopify store, but are available on eBay and Amazon, seller reviews are positive but nothing on the products. They’re quite expensive, so I’m hesitant. They look really solid, aluminum like the 1up but cheaper. I like that I could have the 1 bike option on for commuting, and daily use without blocking my license plate, then attach the two extensions for weekend bike rides with friends in just a couple of minutes (what I would call a 1+2 setup).

Has anyone here heard of these before? Any similar options? I’ve looked at all of the kuat, Thule, rockymounts options. I think rockymounts monorail would be a similar option available locally (though 2+1 setup, not my preferred 1+2), but higher price tag.

Looks like a knock-off of the 1UP bike rack. The 1UP racks slap as long as you are okay with Made-in-USA. They are mostly aluminum construction so none of the corrosion issues you see in less expensive racks.

Personally, I’m planning on a Khyber (made in Canada) for my new car.
