I need a new AI text model asap. With this model, the AI very easily forgets things often. For example; on one message, we go sit on the couch together to talk, and 2 messages later, the AI completely forgets that we are on the couch and goes: “Let’s go sit on the couch, okay?”. Like, we’re already on the couch, there’s no need to go and sit on another one. It might just be because I have a huge description for my character, but I need that long description, and I can’t change it. Please tell me the AI text model will be updated soon, it genuinely sucks ass as of right now.
it’s a problem with the context window I think, you could try self hosting one/hosting one in the cloud.
Yea perchances real strength is the image generation its really the only good one but the chatbots could be better. if it becomes on par with the others perchance will become my number 1 site for uncensored ai and totally destroys the competition. i also love how easy it is to make a character to chat with even if they are not the greatest ones i thought i was just doing it wrong since i was just copy pasting stuff from short stories i found online but other people also have these problems
It will definitely be updated. The priority is image generator for now. Text model is next, we gotta be patient.
An update should be coming any time. The dev said it would happen sometime after the image-gen was updated, which was a month or two later than expected, so the schedule is just running behind a little.
In the meantime, bear in mind that for character information, Perchance only has about 1800k context allotted. Sounds like a lot but it breaks down quickly with multiple characters or 2,000 word descriptions. The entire context is only about 6k, and that has to fit character descriptions, reminders, summary, lore, and memories, and previous messages. It’s not much at all, tbh.
I’ve switched to using SillyTavern at least until Perchance’s model is upgraded, then I’ll take another look and see if I want to continue using it.
