IQ tests just measure how good the test taker is at taking an IQ test. As someone that has administered them in a previous career, people take way too much stake in them. Good as a tool for helping to determine if a child needs a more personalized education plan (in conjunction with a lot of other measures, definitely not on its own), bad for use as a dick measure like I often see them paraded around.
