Unless thats his real birth name anyone who goes around calling themselves Wolf is a headass no doubt. Also I have a sister that did this 15 years ago and its still ruining her life

Maybe it’s just the dad in me, but just knowing that his name is Wolf, tells me this is a bad idea.

Man, if I was big bro I don’t know if I would be meditating. Imo, even if she ran, she should grow up enough to talk to them.

Interestingly, when I try and upload it as a png, lemmy doesn’t like it.

its a png with a transparent background of a finger pointing at a pregnancy test.

Not sure why its being blocked.

    Little Sis,

Since you want to act like an adult and live on your own, I’m glad to help. First step is you clean up your own messes. I will not be your middleman, not because I don’t love you, but because it is not helping you.

If you want to talk about all this, and how best to talk to them, I’m here for you. And please be careful, a lot of people who have done similar things at your age have later regretted it.

Love you, talk to you soon.

She said she’d talk to them afterwards. The way I read it she just wants her parents to not panic because their daughter is gone. This seems reasonable to me.

She could call her parents on the phone and tell them herself, but she doesn’t want to because she knows it will be a difficult conversation.

Therefore she wants bro to have the difficult conversation for her, so she doesn’t have to.

Which does not bode well for her ability to succeed as an independent adult.

It’s not about being a dick because you think she’s making a mistake, it’s about both pointing out that fact of her avoiding confrontation, and helping her develop the skills for success. If she is not willing to work with him on that, then it’s a pretty unfortunate indicator of how this will all likely play out in the long run.

In other words, Wolf will become her new daddy.

How old is wolf? Hard to keep a minor, all depends on laws at your location. But I have a feeling she’ll come back

So… Call your parents and pass on the information. 5-7 minutes of work. Nothing too “mildly infuriating”. And I suppose you even know that Wolf, so there isn’t any problem at all…

Uhh, he’s been inserted into the middle of the drama that doesn’t involve him. It’s at LEAST mildly infuriating. People making adult decisions should take responsibility for them.

someone shouldn’t have to handle the fallout for an action caused directly by someone else handing it off to them, when she could have easily sent that text to them instead. Sibling in this case is being used because sister doesn’t want to face the arguing.
