I took a ‘no tolls’ route through Oklahoma on a road trip yesterday and passed through several basically abandoned towns. (Every damn one had a 30mph speed limit with a cop hanging out at the sign to hand out tickets, too.)

Even though these towns are broke they still have enough money for a fat, piece-of-shit cop to sit with their engine running in a new cruiser at a 30mph sign every day.
