"Recently, several Chinese mainland spouses in Taiwan had their residency permits revoked and were ordered to leave the island within a specified timeframe by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities for publicly expressing “support for national reunification” online. One of them, a social media influencer known as Yaya, was ordered to leave Taiwan, separating her from her husband and three children, due to her online comments about cross-Straits relations. The DPP authorities accused her of “advocating reunification by force.”
CGTN Stringer spoke with a Chinese mainland spouse currently living in Taiwan to hear her perspective of the incident. She expressed sympathy for Yaya and her family and said the actions taken by the DPP authorities infringed on their freedom of speech. Out of fear of being expelled, she said, she dares not speak freely."
So much for “freedom of speech” in “democratic” Taiwan…
wait a minute…it wasn’t china the “cruel dictatorship”?
Yes, but RoC.
“But those sneaky, evile Chian-Kneeze are all brainwashed by the SEE-SEE-MAI-PEE-PEE!”
Now Thats What I Call Democracy!™
What’s with imperialists and their proxies and loving to separate people from their families.
The cruelty is the point.
Post this to a more federated instance lmao

To ask, are they like waishengren (mainland-born migrants and their descendants post-Civil War; associated with Chiang Kai Shek) or more recent migrants from mainland?
Good question. I assume it’s the latter.
I found a YouTube link in your post. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
I really wonder what these people actually said. Searching for any news about this, all I can find are articles mentioning the accusations, but never the source videos where they supposedly advocate for reunification by force. If they did say these things, surely it would help garner even more support for revoking their permits if they put the source videos in these news articles?
Honestly even if they publicly said, " I support Chinese unification through the military invasion of Taiwan by mainland China" this response would not be justified imo.
