Make more things.
And it was powered by Linus Torvalds!
I don’t think the Mediaworkstations a-X2P ever came out of “limited production”, but with an EPYC processor, desktop GPU and 6 screens it still meets the mark IMO.
[Edit]: Sorry, a pair of EPYC processors. And it’s a shipping product.
He probably would have figured it out had he had time to evolve into Megahertz.
I think that is literally how it’s done today.
Yes technically, but… I was gonna say “how would you even act on that?” but decided I’d prefer not to know.
That seems like a steal. The cpu is very capable and there’s plenty of RAM. And it’s a thinkpad…
The Meta AI app is a Privacy Disaster.
I think it’s a fair concern in general but fine in this case since the company almost certainly edited in the lux operon which is one of the most well studied and understood gene switches out there. It and similar pathways have been used in many branches of science for decades. I think the novelty here is just that it’s in a consumer product instead.
yeah I think I’d cook more fun stuff too if I didn’t have to clean up afterward. 😂
Did he clean up afterwards? That seems to be the part my kids struggle with.
I give you a lot of credit. I got about 3 paragraphs in (which was the amount I deemed necessary and sufficient enough to judge the quality of the whole) and bailed.
Which is especially annoying since it does touch on something interesting and human and ephemeral.
I think after 18 months or so you will have a good feeling for what you bought. There will still be things to do. There will ALWAYS be things to do (some of which will be very expensive). But as far as coming to terms with exactly where everything is, what the quirks are, and whether you can live with them, you need all 4 seasons and a bit.
I don’t think this is quite right - the “hierarchy of needs” pyramid is misleading. Self-actualization is fleeting just like physical care (eg meeting basic needs) is fleeting - if you stop doing it, things go downhill quickly, and so you’re always doing it at least a little bit.
While a lot of people frame self actualization as what they would do if only all other needs are met, they really should be thought of as needs you must meet to feel fulfilled. Could be as simple as reading a good book, getting out into nature or cooking a nice meal. Anything that you get value from ticks the box for a little while.
I have a dedica and find it can be a little underpowered with an unpressurized basket (though the coffee looks so pretty). First thing I’d try is - without adjusting your grind - to back off to 8g to reduce the extraction time and see how it is.
If you’ve also had it for a while and have never descaled you should do that as well, even if the machine hasn’t bugged you about it yet.
This is the kind of thing that could get him elected president or thrown in jail. Or possibly both.
Also 1 degree C is the same as 1 degree K - only the starting point is different
As stupid as this sounds I think we (and really the media, but we know which side they’re on) should be doing this in F for US audiences. Saying “hey, it’s now 5°F hotter than it was in the 1970s” is more immediately meaningful — and the bigger number looks scarier too.
