The tint blocks UV and radiated heat, but still get whatever comes through the window itself actually being hot, but as for temp/electricity usage reduction from the tint in summer? Dramatic, and the weird part, in high dinner, you can have direct sun touch your skin and essential feel no heat from it, it’s a strange thing. I def recommend a good tint for heat mitigation in summer if you have windows that get smashed by the sun, plus bonus no one can see in during the day.

Yeah, I live in a bomb shelter 6 pack style unit, I have done a lot over the years to get the thermal regulation as good as you feasible can, and my main windows are north west facing, which sucks in summer, hence all my tinting and thermal blinds etc, but in winter I can get the place pretty decent temps just from the sun and hold it all night. In reality the fans where on super slow just to move the warm air about and stop it getting to stuffy, not actually for cooling 😂

Ouch, my -9 is bad enough, and I feel you in the pain of everything relating to glasses is very custom and very expensive, I get the extra bonus of I’m a large human, at 6 foot 6 and that reduces the small selection of frames i can choose from even further, as so many just don’t fit my large head.
