In the EU. You’re free to move to any member country to live and work there.
Then we had brexit, and as huge part of that was the “freedom of movement” in the EU. The British didn’t like “Polish plumbers” coming to the UK.
Ehhh I get what you’re saying but those “open borders” do not apply to billions of people, over half the world. That’s almost (not quite but close) like saying the US has open borders because people can move between the states easily.
That being said the open borders seemed to work out pretty well for EU countries, so good example still lol. They have certainly not fallen into chaos. Look how well it’s worked out for the UK to leave that lol
