I didn’t know SeamOS had a desktop mode! It’s still limiting just cuz lots of industry standard software that I need for work don’t support Linux, like Autodesk and Adobe products, but at this point I don’t understand why they don’t. Linux is growing and it’s foolish to cut out such a large community. I’ll have to give SteamOS another shot on my Go.
You don’t lose functionality, you can use SteamOS like a laptop as well. Desktop mode literally puts you in a KDE Plasma desktop environment.
