My final foot surgery is coming up, April 24th. (That’s why I’m asking for help now, so I have time to repost if necessary, or cancel the surgery if I can’t get enough help to pay for these things). Afterwards I’ll need packs of bandages (which must be changed every day), as well as waterproof shower boots. The NHS doesn’t provide these things for free, and without them I can’t have the surgery.

People here kindly helped me buy these things last time so I could have my previous surgery in January. I hoped I’d have enough of the bandages left for this time, but I don’t. I ended up running out last time as the areas took longer than expected to heal - in the end I got through 4 boxes last time. Whether I need as many this time depends on how long it takes to heal (I had issues with infections of the surgical sites last time which slowed down the healing.) I bought the waterproof shower boots last time but after being used for so long (months) they began letting water in. If I can’t get enough support I will have to reuse those but I hope to be able to get new ones otherwise the bandages will get wet and I’ll be at further risk of infection.

If anyone is able to contribute anything at all towards the cost of all of this, I would be so grateful. I hope to get enough in total for the following:

The shower boots are £15 each and I need two as both feet are being done. The bandage packs (which contain bandages, sterile dressings and adhesives) are £37 and I needed 4 packs last time. The hospital sells these items directly to patients on the day of surgery so you know you’re getting exactly the right items in the right sizes.
