I’m a 22-year-old man. I dropped out of high school after graduating 10th grade to work full-time. At 18 I left Romania to work abroad as a migrant in construction in order to make more money & save up. Returned to Romania last year and opened a tire shop with the money I saved up which I run with my father and is a profitable business. I live with my parents (cause why pay rent for some random landlord?), contribute to the bills and all expenses, buy everything I need with my own money (including my car), etc. In February I started talking with this girl and well, we hit it off and started dating. This past weekend I went to her home for the first time (she lives with her parents) and basically got roasted by her parents for being some “low-class worker with no education” and “how did their daughter who wants to study law or medicine at university fall in love with some car guy”. It really stung honestly. Makes me feel like a lazy peasant who didn’t achieve anything in life at all so far.
