    Install jellyfin.

    /annoyed I paid for a lifetime membership and still couldn’t invite household members without paying for their licenses too, with plex. I kinda got it working local only but it was still crappy compared to jellyfin, where accounts work exactly as I expect them to, for a server I maintain fully.

      Invite your users to your Plex Home and they would be able to use the majority of Plex Pass features…

        I did. iirc they couldn’t download media to watch during a trip or remotely stream. It was also cumbersome to make full external accounts.

    I installed via their .deb repo. Pretty easy to see and roll back server versions that way.

    But remember a lot of their client apps are just a launcher and they download the client every time you open it. Eventually they can force you to upgrade.

      could you explain that like I’m five? all I can find on APK mirror is bundles of the older versions

        the server is what you need to roll back. The part that runs on a big computer.
        apk is the client on your phone. It’s probably done at a newer version.
        Are you logging into someone else’s server?
