There are several racing communities across Lemmy, some specifically for sports cars. None of them are as active as the Formula 1 community but there’s definitely interest. You could try contributing to those instead of starting a new one.
Huh I tried to search earlier but that’s my bad I guess. Truth be told this is better as the thought of the responsibility of being a mod gives me anxiety anyway.
Somewhat unfortunate that the Sportscar Racing sub is on .ml. I personally don’t have a problem with it and frequently participate in communities on there but it has become such a big deal now that many people outright refuse anything that is hosted on .ml.
You’re more than welcome to use [email protected] but there aren’t many subscribers there yet. It’s been my catch all for the random series I come across but it’s meant to be for all kinds of racing. Something more specific or established might be better if you’re looking for more immediate engagement though.
