Is this loss?
For once, no.
I need this on a shirt
Probably not the best idea in the current political climate
Not everyone on lemmyverse lives in turtle island :)
Yes and no, this is not jsut radical islam, but radio-labelled radical islam, the star denotes the radio labelling, in this case, a neutron extra, the stable version has a mass of 786, with n = 478 and p = 308, n/p ratio of 1.551948051948052, which just so happens to be the highest n/p ratio of a stable element.

Also, I did not really knew of 786, I know that people collect stuff with 786 (my dad also had a few crrency notes with serial ending in 786) but did not know it had no officially recognised significance, just numerology and alphabet-numeric conversion
Free radical Islam?
I’ll take 50!
Missed opportunity to only put three pairs of dots and treat the star as an electron.
Hello I think this is funny because I think I understand more or less what this is implying (atoms and electrons? And because it’s missing one electron etc.)? I think?
But would love if someone explained it for those that are way less smart than me who wouldn’t get the joke, unlike me.
Free radicals are essentially ionized molecules. So radical Islam is just like normal Islam but missing an electron.
Free radicals and ions are quite different. Consider the .OH radical and -OH ion.
.OH radical - no charge, one unpaired electron
-OH ion - negative charge, no unpaired electron
Radicals have an unpaired electron, ions have a charge. They may or may not occur alongside one another. You can have ionized free radicals but it’s not always the case, as shown in the example above.
