This person actively refuted Trump’s bullshit claim that the 2020 election was stolen. He effectively called Trump a liar. In Trump’s mind, that makes him an enemy. That’s the most basic reason that Trump is attacking him.
The second reason is that he intends to have his DoJ issue bullshit reports of the investigation that support Trump’s old claim that that election could indeed have been stolen. Then Trump will turn around and say that he should have been president instead of Biden and since that election was stolen from him, he should get a third term.
