It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.
Context: The recording in the trailer is this one of early film actor Taylor Holmes reading Rudyard Kipling’s poem Boots.

Editor’s note: This post was created upon discovery of the link rather than the trailer release date (Thu Apr 17 2025, 0700 UTC). Editor tried marking the post ‘hidden’ which seemed to hide it on the original instance though it remained visible on federated instances. Setting post to visible globally now (for parity across all lemmy instances), despite the link not yet being valid.
Dunno if I’ll watch the movie but I’ll definitely check out the trailer, I love the way the previous one mixed in that old poem.
