It’s a kind of dead-zone problem in Lemmy atm. Politics won’t allow this, news won’t allow this, microblogmemes (also ‘where meme’) and usa@midwest are the only real avenues atm. Until some enterprising young whippersnapper spins up the new hotness community where these kinds of images won’t get hassled in the street for not being that one where the guy is asleep and then he’s awake with red shiny eyes.
The Politics and News communities are strictly for news articles. Why would they allow memes? This is where they are usually posted as this is where they subjectively belong.
I appreciate your energy, but there are communities out there specifically geared towards catering to this particular void and will garner less opposition. For example:
I know all that, was just saying it’s ironic based on you saying it’s time to break the rules when we’re in this mess thanks to the rule breaker in chief and company.
Didn’t report you or anything though, I’m not a snitch
Continiung to follow the same old rules in an attempt to rein in people in power who gained, retain, and exploit that power by flaunting those very rules isn’t going to work.
I don’t disagree, but where meme?

I’ve really enjoyed the USA@midwest community. Not as over moderated as many LW comms.
I am defining meme rules because defying the rules is exactly what needs to be done.

201 upvotes to 3 downvotes doesn’t seem like opposition to me
Ironically enough, Abrego is only in jail because the executive doesn’t give a shit about the rules
Is it ironic? It’s indicative of exactly what authoritarians do. Rules for you, not for me.
Out groups that the law binds and ingroups that it does not bind.
Wise up. These aren’t platitudes.

No worries. I’m just shouting into the void, anyways.

Wow. Now I’m mad that it is ironic. Thanks a lot :/
