[Harsono’s lawyer] Gad said the government revoked it without any notice to him, and then claimed he had overstayed. The revocation was backdated to 23 March and allegedly based on his 2022 misdemeanor conviction for graffitiing a semi-truck trailer. Gad said that this is not a deportable offense under the Immigration and Nationality Act.
The completely unethical (and hopefully illegal, but I’m not familiar enough with US immigration law) behaviour by the government here clearly has one purpose: intimidate immigrants to get them to leave voluntarily.

As a legal immigrant from New Zealand this is starting to concern me. At first I didn’t have a problem with the deportations. I mean, America has a border and it’s there right to enforce it but now they’re just arresting and deporting random people. It doesn’t help that I’m commonly mistaken for a Latina when I’m mixed race. Half white and half Maori.
As an American who was mortified by the racially-motivated deportations from the get-go: I want you to explain why you were initially ok with them. It is blatantly obvious that they were being organized and conducted in bad faith.
As I said in the post America has its borders and it’s they’re right to enforce them. Every country has. It isn’t good for the illegal aliens but frankly the illegals shouldn’t have entered the country if they didn’t want to deal with the consequences. I have nothing against immigration just as long as it’s done legally.
If you have any misdemeanor, anything on your record, however small, you should contact a lawyer.
Oh god I certainly do. I’ve had encounters with the police a few times when I was a teen and I got in trouble for shop lifting when I was 15 and 16.
So did I. It’s kinda normal and shouldn’t be a problem in a functioning state. I hope you can find someone knowledgeable to talk this through with IRL, asap.

I don’t think anyone has the answers right now, especially considering that this administration is willing to ignore the orders of the SCOTUS.
I’d advise against asking an ICE agent, they might actually come up with something.
