When it comes to electric bikes, range anxiety is real — but it might be less of a concern than…

Of course it can, with enough battery. There’s at least one bike out there that holds three removable batteries.

The bigger issue by far is the pure lies they tell with the listed range. Don’t tell me it can do 80 miles and not mention that’s on the lowest assist, with a 100 lb rider and overinflated tires on flat asphalt. What’s the range with a 200 lb rider on the highest mode, climbing 500 feet per mile? List both, at least.

Mine claimed it can go 50, but the charge indicator is usage-based thus (being inaccurate) probably shows the battery as lower than it is (even in PAS 1). That’s why the anxiety.

Mine seems to also show something like duration of battery left? Like in low assist it shows full, but high assit it shows half full. Do you know if there is anyway to change those indicators?

Buttons maybe (double-click, hold-click) or via settings on the display? Otherwise I’d guess that you don’t (needing to buy+set up something more advanced).

I know on mine it doesn’t even have the option to turn off the throttle (though it is only 250w anyhow).
