      This feels like what it should be used for though. Dumb, low effort memes, where the idea is more important that the quality or fidelity of the art.

        I’m trying to think of how this would be done without AI, actually, and I don’t really know.

        It is funnier with Trump and Xi here. Maybe. Maybe stock photo could have worked, but… I dunno.

        It is funnier with Trump’s facial expression in the third panel.

        We obviously don’t have pictures of Trump and Xi playing poker.

        I do agree that the idea here is much more important than the visuals.

        I’m just really struggling to be upset with this one.

          Before AI, people manually “Photoshopped” images with different image editing tools. These people took elements from different existing images and put them together to create a new one.

          You could draw a cartoon depicting the same situation, but that’s hours of work for a skilled artist.
