James McGrath being an absolute shining example of why people’s opinions of politicians is lower than dirt.

I feel sorry for Dutton’s kids. They only have a choice of one out of eight properies each…

    Very tough going

A solid concession speech. Can’t imagine such a speech coming from any of the Liberal party’s leaders over the last decade.

Jeez, remember Malcolm Turnbull having a drunken tantrum on election night and threatening to send the AFP after the Labor party… That was his ACCEPTANCE speech.

Agreed. I’m not a fan of Dutton but his concession speech was mainly truth and from the heart. At least he’s somewhat graceful in defeat.

On the one hand, a bit disappointed that the Greens haven’t done amazingly on results so far. But I have a huge sense of relief that Dutton and the Coalition have been soundly rejected.

Haven’t seen senate results yet. Greens may be the ‘keep the bastards honest’ choice there

Yeah it’s a shame. Might be better overall for the quality of aus politics in the long run but labour has been extremely shit in some regards.

Hoping that the Senate will force some progress and the improved confidence of labor will lead to more bold policy but we shall see.
