    You know what he’s right. But it’s not because they are black, it’s because blacks are disproportionately poor. So maybe we should fix poverty.

      In addition to income/wealth disparities, black communities are disproportionally policed. Black people are disproportionally arrested, charged, and convicted. Their sentences are disproportionally harsher.

      It’s systemic racism through and through. The evidence is plain, but racists (like the subject of the OP) see the numbers as confirming their bias and ignore any other possible explanation.
