And for the record, there was nothing even remotely racist in my comment. Dessalines just can’t accept being wrong. 🤷🏻♀️
UPDATE : I am (almost) sad to report the ban only extends to [email protected] !
Also, I found the original comment, here it is (and if you see what’s racist about it, please tell me, I’m open to being wrong about this, although I really doubt it) :
( Update 2 : cropped the second image properly )
Wait, how can YOU see it ? Can everyone access removed comments in the mod log ?
Anyway, good job finding it before I did ! I added it to the post.
Well, admins can see removed comments and posts. But yes, the modlog is public and the removed content is also shown there.
The way lumi works is that it is decentralized and for bands to work across instances… if you are the admin of an instance then you can see everything relating to that instance including mod actions that effect users that use your instance. Nothing is private.
Honestly that’s a good thing. I just wish there was a button directly on removed comments to read them right there, though maybe that’s the app’s job to implement.
Depends on what you use. I can see my own deleted comments from quite a few posts that various instance admins decided to remove.
I either use the direct website for my instance or from my phone the Android connect app
I’m on Voyager
Ahh yeah they call the pooh comparison racist since pooh is yellow
That would be a very bad faith interpretation (so it’s probably it), I said that because comparing Xi Jin Ping to Winnie the Pooh is a thing his Chinese opponents do to make fun of him, because he kinda does look like him.
I’ve been banned from grad and ml for telling them to “stop throating authoritarian cocks” and the reason was “homophobia.”
Which is bigoted on their end to assume the gender of the person throating the cock. Also what is a metaphor?
There’s a bit of a bad faith feedback loop where they started using it as a litmus test for users who are just trying to provoke instance bans, etc. At this point Rule 1 is pretty all encompassing to oblige those users. But it’s very easy to catch strays. In some of those communities it’s like those classroom lists of banned Gen Z words that get posted around.
