The Pentagon has halted shipments of critical US Patriot air defence systems and other precision weapons to Ukraine after concern that US stockpiles are running too low, prompting alarm in Kyiv.

At the end of last week’s Nato summit, Donald Trump hinted that supplies of Patriot missile interceptors were running down because some had been supplied to Israel, though he suggested he would like to help Kyiv.

After a meeting with Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the US president acknowledged that Ukraine did “want to have the anti-missile systems, as they call the Patriots, and we’re going to see if we can make some available”.

But Trump added: “They’re very hard to get. We need them. We were supplying them to Israel,” implying that supporting Israel in its war with Iran – a priority for the Republican administration – had set back its willingness to help Kyiv.

didn’t say opposing president, i am saying opposing the president when he want to do bad policies.

I didn’t need to use the full quote because that’s not her job. The constitution was redone so that the VP would be the same political party to avoid public conflict between the President and VP. You don’t know their private conversations.

Funny that as a non american i know more than you about vice president

Particularly since Mondale, vice presidents have served their bosses as leading advisors, often taking on major foreign policy and national security portfolios.

President Biden has continued this tradition, consulting Kamala Harris on challenges such as Iran and tapping her to lead the U.S. response to growing Chinese and Russian influence in Africa.

Harris has also cast a record number of tie-breaking votes in the U.S. Senate, demonstrating that vice presidents can have a significant legislative impact during times of political polarization

Dick cheney was vice preaident and one of the main reason Bush went to war with Iraq.

You don’t know their private conversations.

All i know is that she keep pretending to oppose what israel is doing like Biden but doesn’t do or talk about a single way to force iarael to behave.

You can’t blame people for not trusting her even if she really is for doing it privately

You claimed that harris would support arm embargo you are wrong https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cg798l439ydo

        Re: mondale

That VP’s have advised the President doesn’t make it their job as defined by the Constitution.

As I already said, private advice isn’t publicly opposition.

Biden but doesn’t do or talk about a single way to force iarael to behave

She said she’d do everything but that’s still not enough for you! Oh she didn’t specifically say “stop military aid” so “everything” isn’t everything. What?

“said Ms Harris had “expressed an openness” to meeting with them to discuss an arms embargo.”

So in private she said she would stop but in public she wouldn’t commit. That means she planned to stop arms but lied in public about it to not lose votes.

Crazy how you fell for politicians lies so easily
