      They are technically trains*, if you don’t want to consider them their own thing. There are plenty of languages where the name doesn’t contain “car” if that’s your metric.

        I was just joking but yeah maybe we need a different name for them in English. Wikipedia says Cable Tram? That works seems a bit awkward to me though.
