I drank alcoholically for 15 years. I’ve been to AA and addiction counselors. In the end, I just got tired of it and quit. I quit benzodiazepines on my own; it’s all garbage to say it’s not a choice. Any addict anywhere in the world right at this moment could quit if they wanted to. That’s not a disease. You can’t quit AIDS or cancer. You are wrong. Period.

My entire family is filled with alcoholics, im not even have this debate with you. There’s tons of scientific studies that do not support your argument. But, data and facts never work against anecdotes and emotional responses like yours. Again, as I said, your opinion will not be changed, as I figured. And its not supported by any science whatsoever.
