    sprayed pink paint

That’s a rooky move. Middle-school-level move. Unsatisfactory. Redo.

Tesla has always been a grift. They are significantly overpriced for the cheap cars they really are.

        Still, so much potential.

In the United States, it is very hard to buy a car directly from a manufacturer. Due to law in several states, if you’re getting a new car, you need to buy from a dealership, who gets a cut of the sale. Dealerships, of course, would have plenty of incentive to keep these laws in place.

Tesla has been fighting this for years. When I first heard of Tesla trying this, I loved it. I hoped it would open the floodgates for buying any new vehicle outside of a dealership. I really like any idea where law-mandated leeches are cut out.

With all of his money, he could have started out making non-proprietary EV chargers. (I know they walked this back, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.) Invested in charging infrastructure that could benefit any compatible EV vehicle. Worked on moving public transportation to be EV mass transit. Invested in trains (which can be powered by electricity!) He could have put parking garages with EV chargers beside those train stations.

Instead we have hyperloop, poorly constructed vehicles, and… The current political situation.

        Potential, wasted.
