Hope I don’t get flak for this one, but:
Jurassic Park. Of everything in this book only one thing really stuck with me. The park was overrun with dinos because the computer counted the ones it meeded to, then just stopped counting. It found its target of, say, 2 raptors. I didnt need to keep count of the others because it located its expected two. Good enough.
I’m on mobile so its a little hard to write out my thoughts and find accurate quotes and notes, but I think you’ll get what I’m saying.
That’s the earliest idea of a confirmational bias I can remeber when I was much younger, and I think helped me with critical thinking moving on.
… You’re probably serious lol
Oh my god… epic pinball! I had completely forgotten about this!! Thanks for that hit of nostalgia =)
Hah, I hear you say that in my head as Bender, while flahing his camera.
“Resume Game” wasnt exactly an easy thing to simply forget about. Because it’s based off of GZDoom, any and all little change to any level would break your save. This chunky update included engine corrections that would make it possible to Reaume your Game even if a future update comes out and not force the players to restart a whole level or even their entire progress.
They didnt forget to add such a simple feature, they simply had to make such a feature possible in the first place given the nature of the engine it is based on (GZDoom is a port of the original '90s Doome engine). I’m happy they have it figured out now and I can play without worry of any future patches ending my savegame.
Yay to the devs!
Stop having fun wrong!
