Better than the amount set aside for food
Better than the amount set aside for food
For anyone working more than one job, how do you even schedule it? I don’t remember part time jobs as flexible or of even caring about your availability.
My teen has his first job working part time for a discount retailer. They’ve been scheduling him 20 hours per week: clearly not enough to live on if he weren’t home. Four hour shifts times five days, but he’s on different shifts and different days. When he asked for a specific three hour period on two days not working, they didn’t give him hours that week. Now we’re planning a vacation but wonder if they’ll stop giving him hours if he takes a week off. I don’t see how an adult could make this work
People are pretty divided and strongly set in their beliefs. Most of the things that come out of Trumps mouth mean I’ll vote for a shrubbery if it is the only other choice
… but I do also think Biden has done a pretty good job and would like to see more of the same, with a hop to the left
Bernie? The only potential candidate even older than the two in contention?
American eat way too much bread … but I don’t get it either. I tend to follow a routine for breakfast and lunch: one sandwich a day for lunch will use up a loaf in about a week
That’s what i’ve always seen as well. I don’t know what people do to make it work
It was my mom that did this, and always got store brand white bread. For the people saying it works, are you on the Wonder Bread side, or something with more substance?
It’s weird how common this claim is. Growing up, my Mom always frozen bread to keep it longer, but it always tasted bad and was the wrong texture
Yes, horizontal works. My family always stored in water vertically, but my in-laws did that horizontally. Aside from joke wars, it was the same
I’ve been doing this since CoOViD. Previously I never used butter because it’s too hard from the fridge and “everyone knows” you need to refrigerate it.
However I started doing a lot more cooking, so it’s always been finished before it goes bad:
I’m not even sure what “going bad” means for butter. I have seen it change color so the outside is darker than inside, and threw it out. But ive never noticed an off taste or smell.
Huh, when I bake bread, it normally doesn’t last the night. A bunch of hungry teenagers smelling bread baking a couple hours will do that
Yes, I’ve read that but never tried it. If you’re planning on doing another coat, why waste time and water cleaning your brush? If you wrap it in plastic, the paint should stay liquid a couple hours. If you put it in the fridge, supposedly overnight
But what if my kid can hold it longer than yours? That wouldn’t be fair, unequal bathroom wear and tear., do you think I’m rich?
It’ll be interesting seeing the details: heat stroke prevention is probably quite different most of the time up here in New England, compared to Texas. In any sane world, each state would have their own, tailored to the needs of local climate
That’s the perfect! That’s why we nominate someone of Bidens age. Not only can he get away with it now as an “official act” but by the time the next court rules on it, he’ll be long gone
He doesn’t even have to shoot anyone. Whoever interferes with an official act is clearly committing treason and can be sent to Gulag
I can see Saturday Night Live doing an election special - I want to see a Clinton look alike get raucously drunk in celebration, yelling “ Hey Donald, grab this, ya pussy!”
From Apple Maps, it looks like it’s on a mostly undeveloped island, with the nearest town, Cape Canaveral, over ten miles away. I can’t tell how far away Orlando is, but much further.
Compared to this Chinese test site, it looks like population centers are 5x - 10x farther, plus you have an entire ocean to blow stuff up
Yep, you could still probably find that in the town I grew up in - which the major employer left decades ago, everyone of working age moved out, and has been getting more rundown and greyer every year. Sometimes a cheap house is not worth it.
Yet those don’t have cities right next to the blast zone
Cooked my first beer can chicken today and it turned out great! Two whole chickens and a cast iron pan of cornbread on the smoker, cucumber salad, watermelon, and lemon bars for dessert. Had the ex over for dinner and she brought ex—MiL, but it was fun
