The Teletubbies theme song was pretty cool.
The Teletubbies theme song was pretty cool.
Heard of them, but couldn’t name a single song or pinpoint their genre.
Checked out a song on YT to get an idea and it was literally just a generic boy band. I mean… I guess their songs rhyme? But then, so do nursery rhymes, and they haven’t been my thing for quite a while now.
To each their own.
I’m not opposed to either. I think of this a bit like procedural generation, except better.
Speak for yourself. As an avid gamer I am excitedly looking towards the future of AI in games. Good models (with context buffers much longer than the .9s in this demo) have the potential to revolutionise the gaming industry.
I really don’t understand the amount of LLM/AI hate in Lemmy. It is a tool with many potential uses.
I take posts like these as an opportunity to block people who spam Lemmy with stupid nonsense. I’m heartened to know I won’t ever see a post by this person ever again.
I guess pretty much everywhere is authoritarian because they disagree with your definition of ‘work’. This person was refused entry by Canada for the same reason. They would have had their visa cancelled in my country and likely dozens of other countries too.
Many countries specifically have a visa for people who will be working to support themselves (often titled ‘working holiday’).
She was refused entry to Canada.
In fairness, this person was working on a tourist visa (likely an ESTA). The only reason she was placed in US detention is because she tried to enter Canada from the US and was refused entry by Canada.
I don’t support the nonsense Trump’s administration is doing, but this appears to be entirely unrelated. ESTAs (eTAs for Canada) explicitly prohibit you from working.
I don’t mind this. I also don’t mind watching a movie in a non-English language so long as there are subtitles (Pan’s Labyrinth was awesome).
What I dislike are movies/series that decide to include a conversation in a different language without providing subtitles.
I hate this. Spending the next 5-10 minutes searching the internet to find a complete script of a show just so I have a complete understanding of what’s going on is annoying, not fun.
Well, this is going to bug me for the rest of my life.
Thanks.
Some people down vote popular things because they are popular.
Didn’t downvote this myself, but I can understand why some people would. I have personally blocked numerous users and communities who post variations of the exact same post over and over and over again.
There are only so many times I can read the same bloody thing about Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Israel, and Linux.
I agree. Trump/Musk/Netanyahu are arseholes. Linux is awesome. But I don’t bloody well want to read a variation of the same post every single time I access Lemmy.
I can’t think of a single VR game that has come out that felt like a fully fleshed out game. The games I’ve played the most have all been ports (e.g. Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Fallout 4, The Forest) because native VR games are typically only 3-6 hours long.
Meta really make it annoying to use too. My next headset will definitely not be a Meta.
For a laugh, I occasionally review the ‘Market entry’ column on the table in this article.
I’ve been hearing this ‘5-10 years’ lark for ‘5-10 years’ now.
