But that’s completely different to someone who gained a huge checkbook to sponsor lawsuits, lobbyists and social media campaigns to sponsor the socio-economic conditions to proliferate issues like that and agitate not just for violence but against fundamental values like equality, freedom, justice.

Rowlings is an enemy to all people who want to live in a peaceful and tolerant society. They might just be stupid or ignorant but their immense economic power makes them dangerous and they need to be put down - ideally with laws against hate speech or at the very least in polite society. It’s not a tolerable “difference in personal opinion”.

It’s different when it’s fascist talking points or lies advocating intolerance or hate speech. That’s not an acceptable “personal opinion” in a tolerant society. Especially if it’s an active and current threat to democracy and financed by vast profits.

Once we have proper self driving cars none of these recent “innovations” like that or the speed limiting would matter.

Ideally self driving cars would also be without a steering wheel and just be half width with a single seat or two seats facing each other to reduce energy requirements. You could just develop this with a manhattan style project and test it in a single city banning all other private cars except delivery vehicles.

I mean he doesn’t really any roots or supporters among MAGA like e.g. Steve Bannon. Musk “joined” MAGA shortly before the elections, but MAGA is already… over 10 years old? Well chewed up - besides the financial losses - the lack of people who “like” Elon Musk. Musk is as much as an narcissist as Trump, so those irrational motivations might have pushed him to support Trump in the first place after he lost his prestige with the liberals as a “captain of industry”. But now both sides hate him, he’s disgraced. Now he’s the one who raided the citizens data and smashed up everything with his “crazy” doge (Trump’s words in the future).
