I drive a model 3 myself, and there is so much bad shit about the auto pilot and rain sensors. So Tesla owners have a monopoly on caring about the process of an experiment?

A logic conclusion by that is anyone not a Tesla owner is incapable of critical thought?

As a consumer you should have thought about the consequences of your habits. Because of you they now have to replace all the vendig machines.

The state runs a postal service to facilitate for the generation of wealth by making logistics easier. The postal service doesn’t have to be profitable as the state get its money by taxes on both end of production and consumption.

A private company don’t care about this. They have to survive solely by transporting goods. With no care for what the goods is or how efficient its moved. If the rural community won’t generate enough profit from the transportation of goods they just shut it down.

As a results it’s impossible for new local businesses to emerge. Want to start an online store selling handcrafted goods? Oops you can’t move your product.

Anything that won’t allow for multiple companies to operate simultaneously everywhere should be state owned.

Try running multiple trains on the same track at the same time at different speed. Doesn’t work well does it?

If everyone lived like developed countries we would need even less resources because the birth rate is so low we wouldn’t suffer over population. Also look at how less developed countries dispose of garbage.

Railway doesn’t have to be profitable under government funding. The railway is a way to establish profitable businesses surrounding the railway. The profit comes from taxes paid by everyone getting work because of the railway.

Hurricanes are not getting more frequent or violent because of climate change though. They are likely to become more rare with increasing temperature in the northern hemisphere because of even temperatures in the weather systems.

Lex Friedman ep 339 does a good job explaining the difference between more and severe weather and people settling down in huge numbers in already exposed areas.

We had a huge rainfall in Norway last year submerging a lot of properties. People said this was unprecedented and because of climate change. Only issue is that we have historical data on earlier floods, and people had settled down below the markings of earlier floods more than 100 years ago. The issue is not climate change, but regulating properties on a patch of land you know with 100% certainty will get flooded again.
