I played Final Fantasy 4 and Pokemon Gen 1 at a fairly young age and it left a solid impression on me

All sorts of comics are pretty cool!
Damn, they’re real:

Edit: site seems pretty reactionary btw
Seems like Costco gets brought up?
Costco only does this shit as a union busting effort btw.
Splinter cell: blacklist
This is like 15+ years after the time period OP is asking about lol
Not a childhood game, but the Japan-only SNES strategy RPG Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War is a great handheld emulator game! There’s English patches for it.
Some random games from the mid 90s and earlier that I enjoyed when I was younger:
PS1: Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy 9, Lego Racing
SNES: Final Fantasy 4, Super Mario World
GBA (not of this era, but they’ll probably run on your Anbernic): Fire Emblem (any of the GBA games, but Blazing Blade aka just Fire Emblem is a great starting point), Metroid Fusion
GBC: Link’s Awakening DX
Edit: GB: Donkey Kong 94
Game Boy Advance is probably one of the best handhelds. I totally agree on the PS1 - not quite sure if the Xbox 360 hits that threshold for me, though.
I was going to say: “Sierra Leone: more progressive than most US states”
I’d compare PF: WotR more with the old Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights games, tbh
Work (when at work - for not work stuff on my phone 😈) and agree with the rest
I’d say live in it or sell it. Sure, you may have to pay taxes on that money you make, but it’s money you wouldn’t have had otherwise (that, and you would have to pay property tax if you held onto it). I don’t see why the concern about taxes would push you into being a landlord.
Is that an I/O shield for a motherboard?
Damn, what if we made it easier for people to afford caring for children? What, that’d cost money? Nah.
I’d love for there to just be more short games with branching narratives like WotS. Short games that are built to be replayed really spark something off in my brain lol.
I’m surprised with auto battler games having a moment that we haven’t gotten any Ogre Battle inspired indies - just Unicorn Overlord. Still haven’t played it, but it’s on my to-do list.
Lemmygrad and Hexbear are cool. IDK why you wouldn’t like them if you’re a leftist.
I love the giant skeletons at the bottom - they remind me of Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre:
In addition to what CriticalResist8 said, a lot of the Fire Emblem games never made it outside of Japan, but have fan translations into English now. Fire Emblem 4: Genealogy of the Holy War is one of my favorites (and directly inspired Three Houses)
