That is exactly how people making these decisions think. Its all numbers to them, there are no people involved in their thinking.

right, so that would put you into the 50% or the lower 25%, but there are people that will buy higher price, and as long as there is 1% willing to buy before the first sale it is worth it for them.
Them sound like fighting words…
On an unrelated note you shouldn’t start anything you are willing to finish
If you assume 25% of player will buy at 80, 50% will buy at $50, and 25% will buy at $20. Per 100 buyers they stand to make $5,000. However if they start at $50 with 75% of buys buying at that price, they will make $4,250. This is about maximizing profit by selling to fans with deep pockets first then discounting latter to captured the rest of the player base.
would also get some varnish and save that for all posterity.
Never really was my problem to begin with. I am going to write my report with or without his information, its just that lot of people will be angry about the report without his information. But even then, its still not my problem because he will be the one that has to address the issues in the report.
If I have to come to you desk to ask for something I have likely lost respect for you and I don’t care that you think I am a whiny bitch. Different business units have different priorities, but you should still set the expectation of when you will be able to get to it.
CYA is very important but some time you just need to get shit done and this is where we are at. My manager and director are both working it too.
when they come for the liberals, they will say they are Antifa. They have already said Antifa is a terrorist organization. Anyone that speaks out against them publicly will magically become a car carrying member who happens to have their membership car on them when arrested.
What you did with that time is our own business. The only thing that matters is why your current skills are relevent for the job.
This is my exact feeling.
Maybe I am an odd duck, but when I have been the guy looking at resumes and shit, I made a note not to read peoples email addresses. I don’t care if your email is cumdumpster19 I care if you know how to configure a firewall. But I think most people look for reason to round file a resume and not reasons to say yes to an applicant.
Musk paid to get Trump into office. Musk is there because of Musk.
Hi I am from the Detroit area, and happy to join a regional Lemmy instance. I am actively involved with a local opensouce convention called penguicon. And I’m hear to hang out and stuff
When I was on help desk I often talked about meeting the client where they were at in their technical skill level. Sometimes their technical skill level was “Can you click the icon in the bottom left that looks like a window with four pains, and then click the settings icon it looks like a gear”. If mounting a file share was involved I just remoted in, none of the people that called could handle those instructions.
Amazing!! I can click on something with some algorithm now shoving 1,500 similar thing down my throa. Also, feeds are not choked with people trying to farm “engagement” be any means neciesary.
With a game like there has probably been existence market research to account for how much buzz the game will get. They may even be counting on the buzz to sell more copies at full price.
