This is already backfiring among us mexicans, people are angry because she and her party have scared away jobs with their law breaking policies, negligence and nepotism, so magically now she swears to create jobs for those who left the country… What about the rest of the country?
Besides she can say whatever she wants, until those jobs are created and turn out to actually be decent ones, this is just populism.
But that is cathartic and sometimes that’s all we need, someone who complains with us without fear of being told not to.

Because they aren’t trying to help, they are just trying to feel superior about something by fixating on their survivor bias and ignoring whatever context people might have for still using Windows or having a dual-boot instead of just getting rid of it.

My GPU runs out of memory if I try to play DRG on linux (fedora), Zerotier and XLink Kai run but won’t connect or plainly don’t work inside the games I’ve tried with, and the mumble server just won’t work (even using the docker) because it seems my motherboard’s network isn’t compatible or something, so if I want to use Linux I’d have to upgrade my pc anyway.
Gaming on Linux has taken huge steps, but I’d hardly call the current state as great, it’s ok and improving, but still requires tinkering and knowledge beyond just turning it on, installing and using… And something might not work because fuck you.

I think this is a wrong mindset, you are supposed to be posting for the community, for the members of that community, not to be seen and praised through all the instances because that’s how we got to the problem of getting the same post repeated over and over by the same person/script in all.
Of course that’s my old man way of thinking, things should be posted once and let it federate, if it didn’t reach an instance someone else might post it there, no need to hold all the glory, karma is just a number on lemmy anyway.

Block an instance at user level? You still have to deal with their users and you see crossposts
Defederate an instance? You still see their crossposts if someone from another instance does it
What part of that counts as blocking? It should be as nuclear as possible, that’s what blocking is for, because someone doesn’t want anything to do with them.
Also I know Lemmy is not private, but not being able to completely delete posts/comments still irks me.
And they don’t care, they love their populists who claim to be leftists and will keep posting their propaganda.
It’s no different from reading propaganda in Reddit and everyone clapping as if it were true.
