At first I thought this was firefighters who went to prison, but turns out it’s actually prisoners being paid to fight fires.

They could just stop impeding progress and let the working class have things like healthcare and a living wage. Guess that’s too much to ask and they would prefer guillotines?
Jessica from Dune encourages her son Paul to use “the voice” which is some future space wizardry that allows him to control others.
In this case, the voice that Americans (probably mostly millennials) think of when someone says “my wife” is the voice of Borat, who develops an obsession with Pamela Anderson from a Baywatch poster and refers to her as his wife.
Clearly he deserves it, look at all the civilian deaths he’s responsible for and he started a war with Iran! Seems like the kind of guy that Trump would pardon.
That’s odd, I thought Vlambeer was totally done.
Because authoritarians convinced the American people that military interventions prevent terrorist attacks to distract them from the reality which is that terrorist attacks are caused by American interventions.
It’s only possible to convince Americans of that because they are shockingly ignorant of history and they believe whatever the warmongers tell them.
The combat in Andromeda was pretty sweet though even though the story sucked. I have it another shot not that long ago and once I figured out some of the profile swapping stuff the combat was really fun.
You could try disabling hardware acceleration in the browser and see if that makes a difference, not sure if that’s possible with modern browsers though.
That’s assuming they get their day in court…
That does sound kind of messed up the way it is described in the article especially based on who is funding it. However, almost every city builder or factory game I’ve played involves use of fossil fuels for much of the game and you layer in better options as they become available.
It seems cool but it’s really just printing a frame right? It’s not going to print the plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roof, septic, etc. That’s where a lot of the big costs for material and labor come in. I suspect this is why we haven’t seen this take off. Modular homes seem to have become popular and seem like a much more realistic way to mass produce homes because they can be made assembly line style in one place and then assembled on site.
It’s an interesting thought, but an alien race could be more like hive insects and are just sending out ark ships as part of an instinct to survive and thrive in as many places as possible. Like the aliens in the Ender’s game series.
Or like the race that created the Protomolecule in the expanse, they sent a probe into a system that looked promising possibly even before humans existed and had no way to know if it had intelligent life and their probe is basically going to autonomously consume organic material as part of building a highway off ramp.
As skeptical as I am, I’m feeling pressure to join the BS train on this. It’s literally all over LinkedIn… Even though I’m sure it’s all mostly bullshit, it doesn’t matter that I think. What matters is that this is where billionaires are dumping their money so I need to be in a position to get some of it or I may not be able to be gainfully employed in 10 years.
