I had a similar run in with a friend who grew up in mid-western PA who had never heard of red lining and refused to believe that something like that happened in this country. He hoped on the crazy conspiracies train around the time COVID and I haven’t talked to him since.

I genuinely think that a lot of these “great again” folks don’t understand what things were like “back then” and that all this social progress actually happened. It’s sad.

Could you imagine dropping in on bug or automaton missions and there just being new aliens with new weapons showing up?

Why would they announce that like this though? I’m holding out hope that this push includes any core code updates needed for the Illuminate but not directly pointing at them, so they can get that tested and ready. Then when they decide the time is right, push an unexpected update with the new textures.

Because documentation was so great for sysv and everything else back in the day…

Has it fixed itself yet? This feels like a sign out and sign in again type problem because it takes time to synchronize everything.

I’m glad they made almost all of the processing local. Not just for privacy, but also speed and usability in bad connection situations.
