It upsets me that my enjoyment of the meme was lessened by the clearly incorrect spelling of li’l. I wish I could just look past it. What’s wrong with me?

Chess is a war game. Killing and violence in general are devastating. It’d be interesting to compare the brain activity of a murderer with a grandmaster player. I have my suspicions about what we would see.
Eh, still about 50-50 with these people. I’ve sent an email with 4 nicely formatted and numbered questions and had them respond only to question 3. Like… You read some of it, decided to answer one, and then give up with no other acknowledgement? Shit is wild.
It’s honestly so many people! How did admitting you are wrong become so painful for so much of society?
So what are better icebreaker questions? I admit I often ask these types of questions in social situations with new people, but usually I get very little back.
What definition of rage are you working off of? To be honest, it sounds like you’re talking about general anger.
I’d LOVE a resource like that! I’m sure it exists but I never found it, and it is a silly thing to be hung up on but I just didn’t properly understand the folder structure. I’ve still used Linux plenty but I’m dragging my feet on using it as a daily driver, but I’m VERY close to making the jump.
Calls and easily sharing my screen are 90% of my use cases for Discord. The entire appeal of it initially was that it was a more functional Ventrilo with both text and voice channels. Hopefully something FOSS gets further developed by the time Discord completely shits the bed.
Somehow I read “fired upon” and I was imagining Mel Gibson just shooting at them until they agreed to restore the gun rights.
That’s fair, but for awhile that setting only worked on desktop, and various apps still may or may not respect the setting. I’ve never encountered someone who enjoys this being on be default.
HEY YOU’RE RIGHT! The people organizing and participating in this believe that this one day of action will solve every abstract problem that exists! I also have simplistic understanding of protest and goals! I also prefer to be snarky at anyone attempting to voice dissent towards the insanity happening in our country!
I’m really sorry to go over the top here, but seriously, there’s no fucking handbook for what we’re going through right now. There’s no questgiver telling us concrete steps to take down objectively evil people. There’s just people trying to figure out how to connect with each other and how to collectively voice dissent. Maybe we should give more credit to people doing imperfect things than to those doing nothing other than pointing out how imperfectly those things are.
I don’t necessarily disagree, and everyone is different, but you should consider that it’s not just you that changes. You change WITH your partner. You grow TOGETHER. I am absolutely different than I was 10 years ago, and so is she, but that doesn’t mean that we’re no longer compatible. Our growth contributed to each other’s growth.
I do think people should be maybe… less attached? You should regularly evaluate your relationship to see if it’s working. Shared interests aren’t even always necessary (as long as they at least show interest in what you like and vice versa). But that is very hard and many people would rather not be alone.
Somebody convince me I’m wrong.
There is no reason to display “100%” in your UI for more than a single second. Either show 99% and then finish, or show 100% only when you are ACTUALLY done and only show it for a little.
If you’re still doing ANYTHING AT ALL don’t say you’re 100% complete. How is it still like this
Lol only conservatives have made the ridiculous statement that “Biden is the most left wing president.” That is hilarious though.
Isn’t the game locked to 60?
For real! This is why a lot of modern TV is hard for me to watch. So many stories about mostly terrible people being awful without any humanity. Most people are good.
Java has a lot of advantages, but that’s a crazy statement. I feel like literally everyone complains about basic stuff like public static void main, over reliance on factories and OOP, and just how much code you need to generate for some basic stuff. I’m not a Java hater, but I am glad I don’t have to use it anymore.
Every time people talk about this, they always envision the most morbidly obese example that they can think of, when we’re really just talking about the average slightly overweight/obese people. Those people often have their actual medical needs ignored by doctors and are given “lose weight” as a cure all. There are literally hundreds of millions of people who experience this.
Wait so an actual human person beat the level without TAS assistance? That’s insane, I thought that they’d omitted the level because it was uploaded with a TAS, but the fact that a real person beat it is insane.
In a weird way, having emotionally available and supportive parents is absolutely a privilege. People are able to develop empathy in spite of bad parents, and good parenting isn’t a guarantee to a good person, but parenting is a major factor for life success. I wish it weren’t, and I hope we can build a society that could guarantee every child full opportunities.
