It truly does get hard to tell after a certain point, though. People get mentally fatigued when “it’s just a joke bro” has been said the millionth time. And when crazy awful oligarchs with too much money are backing that joke. I’m tired.
I’m tired.
Anyone can make art if they want. I’ll just keep saying it. Look at Hyperbole comics, Cyanide and Happiness, folk art—you already know the spiel. There are classist traditions in some art spaces but you don’t have to participate in them. We have outsider art. We have fringe subcultures and movements.
I’ll be honest, it’s hard to tell if anything is a joke anymore. I thought Trump was a joke and he’s in the White House now… blame the autism.
All this is doing is making me want to subscribe to their news site even more. The White House doesn’t realize the effect they’re having. Everytime they disparage something, that is a sign that the thing they hate is good, not bad, and probably helpful.
Struggling not to act on my impulses all the time, doing foolish things before thinking and not being able to go more than a brief period without embarrassing myself. I thought everyone dealt with impulse control issues. Oh hey Adhd, nice to see you.
Just make more of you and spread those username tentacles. Muahah. I have three now.
Dude, you can still come over. As a Canadian you have my permission. Yes, glad to see other folks said something good about Lemmy.ca. It is nice. I agree. :)
Something’s happening in Zaun.
I swear to God.
What I’ve listened to in the past week: Stay with me - Miki Matsubara, Traust - Heilung, Probably something from the 2000s.
This has the same energy as Lonely Island’s song “I threw it on the ground”. The male Karen.
Hehehe. Amazing birb names. There was a woodcock in my parents yard one winter. It was so cute! Took us a couple of minutes to figure out what bird it was, we’d never seen it before. It was so busy out there. First it completely flattened itself like a dead leaf when it saw my dad, then when it felt safe, it started fanning it feathers out like a miniature turkey and rotating, it did a little display. (Not sure if it was a mating dance or something else but very cute.) We didn’t see it do the walk. But ever since that encounter and after learning they do a little jiggling dance when they walk (via youtube), they are one of my favourite birds now.
Just being here has felt freeing in and of itself. No ads omg. It’s beautiful. I like the slower pace here too, it doesn’t bother me to see the same post on the main page from a few days ago. I think it’s a nice break for my senses actually.
This is awesome, thank you for making this! _
