That’s the beauty of these moves by China, no amount of money can solve the problems they create quickly. It took China, with its full resources of state planning, decades to build their supply chains to this point. Neoliberal capital simply can’t compete with that. Meanwhile, I was recently trying hard to think of any infrastructure improvement I’ve seen in my lifetime in the US. All I could think of was “smart” traffic lights that detect cars. Everything else I see is from the 1970s or earlier.
