By training an algorithm that will have an impact on said statistics. Not only the algorithm can cheat (see Goodhart’s law), but it can repeat biases that led to these statistics (like those law enforcement algorithms that became racists)
0·11 days agoDon’t forget City Hunter and Hokuto no Ken. French dubbing replaced love hotels with vegetarians restaurants, and characters said puns and stupid stuff instead of talking seriously.
In France, advertising alcohool brands on TV is heavily restricted. It wasn’t a problem in the Simpsons since Duff was not a real brand of beer.
When Duff became a real brand, French TV had to blur every Duff logo and beep out every “Duff” pronounced on screen. Some episodes became unwatchable, Duffman became beepman, every beer became blurry…

6·16 days agoI did that with RTS like Starcraft or Age of Empires II. I would just build a city, develop every upgrade, build good defenses and basically play it like Sim City
and he said “Play the best song in the world, or I’ll eat your soul”

I’m pretty sure we could make this into a satirical puzzle game.
You would defuse a connected bomb by remotely shutting it down through an awful mobile app.
We’re an anarcho-syndicalist community. We take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week. But all the decision of that officer have to be ratified at a special biweekly meeting. By a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs.
Strange developers lying on GitHub distributing software is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical coding ceremony.
