I love reading about physics things that I just can’t conceptualize. Spaces with more or fewer than 360 degrees of rotation? Cool, I absolutely can’t imagine it
Preventing pregnancy is the most replicable effect of condoms. I’d be much more worried about gonorrhea, HIV, even syphilis.
What does his forearm tattoo say?
I was so excited for a second because I assumed the wristbands were in support. This is such a loser thing for an adult to do though. I can’t imagine setting out in the morning to make a child feel less secure and accepted.
There’s already an “I” earlier in that sentence, so it’s not necessary necessary, especially in poetry, but it would absolutely be clearer with another.
My cousin dated two guys named Dewey (back to back, too). When she introduced the second one to us, we called him Dewey Twoey
You have to be Wisconsin levels of drunk to get a dui in East Windsor
Almost none of these are old movies
Zangendeutsch is killing me though. I’m a native English speaker living in Germany and it’s difficult not to internalize fake internet German
Two days after breaking up, I found out that my ex had lied to me about everything about himself, and had gotten out of prison for beating his mother to death shortly before we met. I met him because he had been a canvasser with a friend of mine (also concerning, tbh), and he just fit right into her friend group, and nobody had any information about his life before that. Once we started comparing stories after we found out, it all clicked into place.
Even worse, he killed his mom after she tried to give him some tough love (it sounded like normal, healthy parenting from the reports) about drinking too much and I broke up with him for the same reason. I was certain he was going to kill me for a while there, but that’s no longer a worry because I live in another country and he can’t get a passport.
You’ve heard of the double down, but what about the duodecuple down?
I don’t know if it’s a gender thing, a location thing, or just my vibe (I’m a woman from Connecticut and I’m an autistic vegan with a septum ring who presents pretty butch), but this has happened exactly once to me. It was, unfortunately, my best friend making a mildly antisemitic joke to me and another acquaintance of mine she’d never met, at his expense. Fortunately, however, I took her aside and was able to get through to her. She was adamant that she wasn’t antisemitic, but “the joke was right there.” I explained that it’s like the “make me a sandwich” or “tits or gtfo” jokes, where in one instance, they might not be so bad, but they wear on you and make you so wary of hearing them that you start to think about your wording, and they other you over time. She understood, so well that she felt awful about it and apologized, and has occasionally mentioned the interaction several times since as a pivotal moment for her.
Banned from 4chan for underage shit? I can’t imagine this would be the thing they finally crack down on
That’s the value of charisma. I can’t not seethe while listening to Reagan shucks his way to destroying the welfare state, but he was an actor, I’ve got to assume he was good at striking the right note for people who didn’t have the consequences of his policies right at hand.
I wish charisma were less effective, but unfortunately this is the world we live in. Even worse, the only Kennedy we have on the national scene is RFK Jr.
I can understand that, but I suspect that neither calls itself The Times. In countries with a large newspaper known as a Times, The Times is called The London Times to differentiate itself
The lettuce is so much longer lived.
