Eskating cyclist, gamer and enjoyer of anime. Probably an artist. Also I code sometimes, pretty much just to mod titanfall 2 tho.
Introverted, yet I enjoy discussion to a fault.
DMs on lemmy are a bit clunky, still, so people tend to move to matrix for instant messaging.
Have you played Deadlock? I’m completely addicted.
The community is right here on sopuli: [email protected]
Oh. Ok.
Back to being dead, then.
Cross-platform, too! Neat.
Now I have a new client to recommend to my dad. Findroid is android only. (As the name suggests)
What?
The last one is like only one me and my friends get up to.
Might also add Collabora, it’s libreoffice, but allows online collaboration and has the nicest integreation into nextcloud, imo.
If you want a jellyfin app that actually manages the downloads, letting you both watch and delete the downloads in the same app, try Findroid.
Like already explained, the web-app based clients just download the media files. You can obviously watch them using any media player that way, and delete the files when you’re done, but it makes things a bit clunky.
For music, there’s Finamp (FOSS) and Symfonium (Paid, but really good, and with active dev).
To be available to anyone anywhere, the webapp has to be hosted, even if it then runs entirely on-device.
Will you host it? Can I host it?
I love fighting games.
But holy fuck is the monetization some of the most outrageous I’ve seen.
Oh man! You just put to words why I couldn’t stand Breaking Bad, and Boardwalk Empire.
I watched the first simply because a lot of people love it, and I try to watch everything that seems worth seeing. The second I saw some clips from that I really liked, but then I just didn’t stick with the actual show.
In both cases, the series left me on constant edge, in a really bad way.
Now I realize that I kept waiting for the shows to grant me some kind of catharsis, but it just never happened. Or it happened rarely and in ways that quickly gets brushed away as inconsequential.
Oh hell yeah, doing it right now, too!
Literally anyone with privilege, when they lose even a sliver of that privilege: “I am being oppressed”
Gamefreak needs a fire lit under their ass.
One they can’t put out buy litigating it to shreds.
Nintendo doesn’t really “dry” their IPs. They actually innovate between games, making sure each installment is worthy of existing. They don’t just slap a new number on the same content as last time, like the EAs, Ubisofts and Actiblizzards of the industry.
That’s why they’ve lasted. A game featuring Mario or Link isn’t so much a familiar IP, as it has become a seal of quality.
Doesn’t mean they aren’t guilty of a bunch of other anti-consumer bullshit.
The students are spied on by their teachers using AI and webcams when they do exams online on their laptop.
This teacher is expressing amusement at the image on the wall fooling the AI into thinking the student had someone help them during the test. The teacher then goes on to comment that they can tell that the student kept looking to the left (the teacher assuming they are looking things up in a book or by using a second device) and that the student might want to remove the image from their wall to avoid the AI flagging them.
It was composed by Snails House.
I wish they did more stuff with vocals. It REALLY worked.
It’s what the artist titled it. I’d assign the yellow to moom, and wonder about Sana.
Astro Girl is still my favorite song to come out of hololive.
Nextcloud Office (aka Collabora) has been the nicest in my experience.
I came from google drive. I did a google takeout of my drive contents, dumped it into nextcloud, and every document so far has opened without trouble.
