Funny, in my 30s I didn’t feel old 😄
Yesterday I re-watched Copycat. Part of the suspense fell on the main character not having a cell phone and the would-be killer cutting the land line.
It felt… weird.
And yes, it was old 😢
They give me more and more reasons to stay on W10 until I give up games and move to Linux permanently.
I’ll miss my TCMD scripting, though. But besides that and gaming, most of what I do nowadays is cross-platform.
They are showing their true selves because they’re not receiving social censure or they do care about it and they dismiss it as “the woke mind virus”.
I don’t believe either of those will happen.
I guess some value being kept women over everything else. More so if their minds are polluted by religion.
Hopefully this will show the world that they are a bad idea. The price will be in blood, of course.
That article is reason enough to like the guy, if one didn’t like him before.
Your body is 40. You’re still 12.
Don’t you mean George Orwell?
And yes, it’s fictional, but it’s a condemnation of Stalinism.
Because they don’t have the money and the requisite professions to leave.
Given the glacial pace I’ve been seeing, I would’t be so sure… But understandable if you have many repos and need to reach consensus.
You can reduce some impacts adding explicit >= constraints instead of ^.
You can use uv now and have Rust speeds for the same functionality.
… except for the part where the dependency definition doesn’t follow the latest approved PEP, and the default constraint with ^ add an upper limit that causes problems.
I moved to PDM.
I always think these movies end being used as instruction manuals.
I knew my first long distance gf on ICQ. I remember also having that service in Miranda IM along Yahoo Chat, MSN, Google Chat (back when it was based on XMPP) and Jabber.
Messages from my current gf are announced with the classic ICQ “Uh-oh!”.
Is Threshold worse than Code of Honor?
I’d say it’s worst. Being racist is horrible, but it wasn’t until “Threshold” that ST became actively and willingly stupid.
Steven Spielberg specifically said that he would continue Kubrick vision for the movie. And the Pinocchio discussion Brian Aldiss had was with Kubrick, not with Spielberg.
So be careful not to cut yourself with that edge. You don’t seem to be handling it well.
The Kubricking extends beyond The Shining. A. I. is a horrible travesty of the original short story. The author begged him not to do that idiotic retelling of Pinocchio, but Kubrick didn’t listen.
100% agreed. If I see a compliment sandwich, I assume that the person using the technique is lying about the compliments and I lose all respect for them.
