Google is secretly using its education products, including those used in many Bay Area schools, to identify students individually, track their online activity including sites they visit and links they click, and “steal” their personal data for profit, a lawsuit filed by California parents and others claims.
Crazy. I thought they provided things for free to schools because they were nice.
To be fair, there are a lot of companies that does similar things for the PR, or because the owner believes in a cause.

What does the law matter when the fine is a tiny portion of the profits, a “oops sorry!” more than suffices
What is the percentage of people that leads actually work on? This is essentially a dystopian extreme of getting leads for sales and I’m curious what the percentage of people it actually works on to find out how little it is that society has sold itself out to enable shit like this
How is it “secret” if it says “google” on the device?
