minus-squareDasus@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·11 days agoOh that’s weird. The Finnish word for trout is “taimen”. As in “siberian trout” is literally “siperian taimen”. I mean it’s not weird but I’ve just read much less Finnish etymology and it’s always a pleasant surprise.
