    As an aside: what a terrible website. Even loads the whole page and hides it behind a read more button, for no reason because it’s already loaded the content.

        If you go into your settings for uBlock Origin, there’s an option to have it block js. Someone on Lemmy told me that recently and I stopped using NoScript after that since it became redundant

        It’s already trivially easy to track scrolling. I think more nefarious than that. I think it’s so that they force “engagement” on their site, since clicking a button counts as a user action.

          Scrolling is still less voluntary than clicking. It’s a good tactic to monitor engagement instead of just page views.
